This is an landscape design project collaboratively designed by contemporary Ghanaian artists, architects and students from the SOS Hermann Gmeiner International College (Ghana). Thinking in line with the belief that 'architecture is a reflection of society', this team's choice in materials, forms, artistic sculptures, color, shapes and other design elements will be critical manifestation of the SOS Hermann Gmiener International College and Ghanaian wider community.
i) The project is aimed building/designing a landscape garden stemming from the input of the community of students who live around this space and the artists/architects who shape this very space.
ii) Encourage and develop an appreciation of artistic design as well as a respect for individuals in Ghanaian society within this field.
iii) Establish relationships between contemporary Ghanaian artists and art students at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College.
iv) Enlighten students on their environment-responsible role and develop a sensitivity to their surroundings.
v) Develop an appreciation for the use of local materials and resources in modern architectural projects.
vi) Build a physical and symbolic manifestation that reflects the nature of SOS-Hermann Gmeiner community in Ghana.
